Pride. Anger. Confidence. Shame. Excitement. Fear. Acceptance. Jealousy. We experience feelings every day. In a variety of situations. For a variety of reasons. Feelings are important. They help us navigate relationships. They help us interpret and understand our experiences.
The ability to manage and express our feelings is a normal, healthy part of what it is to be human. Unfortunately, our larger culture does not always make space for the healthy expression of emotions.
Storiez: A Feelingz Guide was motivated by Dr. Meagan’s desire to help people build the skills necessary for healthy expression of their feelings. It seeks to answer the question, “What are important things that kids, teenagers, and adults should know about managing and expressing their feelings?”
